Turks and Caicos restaurants are a food lover's dream come true! I love to eat! You can probably tell that from my picture on the homepage ;o) My taste buds were kept tantalized by the many and varied food choices available on the islands! Me tummy was happy most of the time.
Whatever your culinary tastes Turks and Caicos restaurants and cafes will tempt your palate and help to make your vacation a really enjoyable one.
The endless menu choices and wonderful wine lists, served in exquisite surroundings, will make your diet plans fly out of the window...they did mine!
The main restaurants all serve high quality food with excellent choices and the staff are friendly and welcoming. There are of course many cafes and bars where the food is delicious and there are beach side shacks which also provide excellent meal choices.
My number one choice for both lunch and dinner was the Lemon Cafe! Okay, I know that John is my best friend and the chef here but I'm probably his harshest critic when it comes to his cooking.
I was fully expecting to be critical as Moroccan is not my favorite cuisine, but I have to say that I loved each and every dish I sampled! Lemon Cafe is one of the few Turks and Caicos restaurants that uses as much of the fresh, local produce as it can in its dishes.
Lemon Cafe is extraordinary!

This is the entrance to the Lemon Café. It's an incredibly beautiful place with amazing ambience!
I'll be putting up separate pages for my favorite Turks and Caicos Restaurants once I get all the pictures organized. So check back soon!
Many hotels and restaurants offer first class service where you can order anything from angus beef, sushi, fresh catch of the day, gorganzola gnocchi (I almost licked the plate!) to burgers, fries, philly cheesesteak subs and much more.
The restaurants on the islands cater for all tastes and nationalities. I had a great time trying out all the different flavors and cuisines!
All the Turks and Caicos restaurants I went to were on the island of Providenciales but I've heard good things about the food on the other islands as well. I'll make it a point to try out some of them on my next trip.
The Salt Mills Cafe & Diner was right across the street from where I was staying. We ate there for lunch, breakfast and brunch. The atmosphere is casual and the service is the friendliest on the island! The food here is very reasonably priced and surprisingly very good as well. In my opinion, they have the best fries on the island!
My favorite junk food meal at the diner was the pulled pork sandwich with fries. It was an extremely tasty, dripping mess that was so much fun to eat! They also have more health conscious choices if that's what you're looking for, including vegetarian selections. If you're looking for a place with a variety of good, inexpensive food, you won't do better than the Salt Mills Cafe & Diner.
We had breakfast and dinner at Hemingway's which is right on Grace Bay beach. Breakfast was great! The eggs benedict were superb and the bacon and eggs and coffee hit the spot.

This is the view from the deck. It was a cloudy morning but by the time we had finished breakfast the sun was full out and after walking along the beach for a bit we went for a swim. It was a great way to work off some of the calories we consumed!
I also went to Hemingway's for dinner with my friend Joanne, who came down for a visit while I was there. She loved the Conch soup. It was a huge bowl of soup and very flavorful. She also had the fresh catch of the day which was cooked to perfection. I had the chicken stuffed with cheese which I enjoyed immensely. The service was excellent and watching the sunset from the deck was magical. What a great place to enjoy a meal!
Danny Buoy's was right down the street from where I was staying so I ate there quite a few times. John and I tried the fish and chips, bbq ribs, steak salad, a philly cheesesteak sub, pizza and the fried tortilla apple dessert which had toffee and apples on the inside and icecream and caramel sauce on the outside...it was disgustingly good! We didn't eat all this in the same sitting though!
Danny Buoy's is an authentic Irish Pub which serves Guinness and the locally-brewed favorite Turks Head beer which is really good, along with tons of other beer! They've got a pool table, darts, casino video poker games and satellite tv.
All the dinner meals we shared were excellent. Although the service itself was good there were a few times when the staff weren't as friendly or attentive as we had become accustomed to them being. We also ate breakfast at Danny Buoy's but were disappointed with it...so it's not a meal I'd recommend having there. But it is a great place to go for dinner or just to hang out, have some great beer and enjoy yourself!
Da Conch Shack - and it really is just a shack – check it out in the picture below! It has picnic tables on a beach front setting, which is a really relaxed and beautiful atmosphere, with wonderful views and excellent service. If you like rum punch (and I do!) you'll find that Da Conch Shack has the best!
I wouldn't recommend ordering anything other than conch from the menu as that is their specialty and it is fresh and delicious...the other dishes we tried were lukewarm and mediocre...the fries were also cold and limp. But for island atmosphere, the best rum punch on the island and great service, you can't do better than Da Conch Shack!
Horse-Eye Jack's is right next to Da Conch Shack and has the same incredible beach front views. We stopped in at lunch and split a great chicken sandwich. John had a smoothie which he loved and I tried the rum punch
which was pretty good. The atmosphere is very laid back and the palapas are beautiful and partially cover the spacious decks. Next time I'm there I'd love to just hang out and take a nap in the hammock! John told me he went to Horse Eye Jack's for a great full moon party. I'm sorry I missed it!
Angela's Top of the Cove Deli was a treat! John and I split a philly cheesesteak sub and it was simply delicious! The bread was to die for. They have all sorts of stuff in there that you'll want to buy and take with you, such as fresh baked goods and gourmet items from around the world. I will definitely be going back to Top of the Cove on my next trip to Turks and Caicos!
Island Scoop has great cappucinos! I was in search of the best cappucinos on the island and found one of them here. I'm not a big fan of icecream but the one scoop I had was excellent! John loves their icecream. I loved the casual laid back atmosphere of this place, the staff here is super sweet and friendly and there's a great couch outside where you can sit and slowly sip your coffee and have a chat. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Turks and Caicos!
Pizza Pizza - This inexpensive restaurant sits on top of Island Scoop and has candle lit tables, brick oven pizza and reasonably priced drinks. It wasn't the best pizza I ever had and the service was a bit slow but all in all for the price, it was a decent meal out. I'd recommend asking for extra cheese on your pizza as ours didn't have enough on it to hold all the ingredients together. They also offer delivery if you're looking to eat in one night.

You can start off at Pizza Pizza then walk on down and have a cappucino at Island Scoop. Makes for a very pleasant afternoon!
The Bay Bistro is located right on the beach so it has phenomenal views but unfortunately, this was one of the few Turks and Caicos restaurants I wasn't impressed with. The food was mediocre and the service slower than slow and the place looks like it's overdue for some renovations. I would recommend it just for the chance to sit and gaze out at the beautiful turquoise waters of Grace Bay Beach.
Somewhere restaurant located in Coral Gardens Turks and Caicos is fun, fun, fun! They have great beach parties and incredible Mudslides ;o) Everything I've eaten there has been delicious. The nachos with beef and a cold corona is my favorite after snorkeling snack.
I've been living on Island since November 1st 2010 and haven't eaten out as much as I did while I was on vacation...but here are a few more reviews of other Provo restaurants.
We finally went to eat at Magnolia at Turtle Cove Marina! I loved the view of the yachts from the deck of this beautiful restaurant!

Absolutely gorgeous view of Turtle Cove Marina from the deck of Magnolia.
To start we had the Tuna Tartare which was extremely tender and covered with diced wasabi, capers, red onion balsamic vinegar and extra virgin olive oil and spring rolls with an Asian chili dip. The rolls were crunchy and satisfying. For our main courses, John had the Bouilliabase and I had the Bacon Wrapped & Pesto Stuffed Pork Tenderloin. Both dishes were extremely good and hit the spot! For dessert we shared the Lemon Creme Brulee Tart...of course! It was delicious! I'd recommend a night out at this fabulous Turks and Caicos Restaurant. The bar was also hopping so if you'd like to have a drink before dinner you might want to check it out as well.
Seven Stars has a bar right on the beach appropriately called The Deck. You can order lunch along with your drinks. It's a great place to hang out in the afternoon! If you stop by you simply must have one of their Mudslides! Soooo good...but be careful, two of them and you'll be floating on land!
The Spring Rolls are to die for! I also loved the fish sliders...very tasty!
There are two spring rolls that come with an excellent spicy dipping sauce. We'd already eaten one before I remembered to take a picture! They are so good that we had two plates! The fish sliders were also excellent...John and I differed on which one was best as all three have different flavors. You can't beat the view and the vibe at Seven Stars The Deck!
Wherever you go on the islands you will find dining an interesting and delicious experience, and children are catered for in all Turks and Caicos restaurants and cafes. The seafood is of course all freshly caught and cooked, but there are also wonderful meat and pasta dishes and an abundance of oriental and Indian foods available.
There is so much to do which requires physical effort, i.e., swimming, diving, water skiing, and hiking. All these activities will help you to burn off the fine dining you’ll experience every day and make you feel less guilty about what you’re eating – at least that’s the theory.
You will have no difficulty in finding some of the best food in the world on the Turks and Caicos islands, accompanied by romantic settings, exceptional views and first class service. Many of the Turks and Caicos restaurants also offer entertainment which will enhance your enjoyment of the evening. Enjoy!!
