Grace Bay Beach - Providenciales

Grace Bay Beach starts at Leeward and goes all the way to Thompson Cove. It's been voted one of the top ten beaches in the world and deservedly so!

Grace Bay Beach

Standing out on this dock at Grace Bay Beach makes you feel like you own this little patch of paradise!

The beach rims the Princess Alexandra National Park. There is no commercial or sport fishing allowed along its shores as reef preservation and conservation are considered extremely important.

Although it has resorts and hotels running along its 12 miles of white, powder-like sand, I still found spots where I had this beach all to myself.

Bight Reef and Smith's Reef are two great Caribbean snorkeling spots right on this Turks and Caicos beach. I plan on visiting both on my next trip with my new snorkeling gear and hopefully getting some great underwater photos!

If you're lucky you may even get to see Jo Jo the Dolphin! I kept an eye out for him but unfortunately he didn't show up while I was there....maybe next time!

Grace Bay Beach Sunset

The sunsets are spectacular! It feels like you're standing in a surreal painting of a sunset that just isn't possible. I'm hoping to catch a sunrise next time I'm there.

I really loved walking along this beach and stopping for a drink at one of the many restaurants that dot the beachfront. Careful at Ocean Club West! Joanne and I stopped here for one of their special drinks of the day and it almost laid us out flat! They were soooo good. The hamburger and fries were also excellent!

There's so much to do on Grace Bay Beach. I didn't participate much in the activities, except beach walking, sunning and taste testing each establishments rum punch ;o) I did watch all the cool looking stuff like parasailing...John is still trying to convince me to try it but I'm terrified of heights!

Grace Bay Beach SunsetThe banana boat ride looks like a lot of fun...I might do that next time.

You can also board a sailboat, go kayaking, peer through glass-bottom boats, take a sunset cruise...the list is endless!

This is a picture I snapped during a sunset cruise.

Everything was bathed in gold, it looked like the sun was sinking directly into the water...I was in awe!

One thing is for sure, you will never be bored on this beach! Just walking along this incredibly clear, blue jewel of a beach is both relaxing and exciting at the same time. If you go in the early morning you'll most likely have the whole beach to yourself and even in the afternoon when it's at full swing, you still won't feel crowded. You can't beat that!

Grace Bay Beach is so stunning that you might just end up extending your vacation.
